Cass Township's Emergency Management Agency Coordinator is John Kellman - Cass Township Fire Marshall. As the EMA coordinator, he works closely with the Schuylkill County Emergency Management Agency. He also updates plans for responding to emergencies such as floods, blizzards and power outages in the township.

Schuylkill County Emergency Management Agency coordinates the emergency plans of Cass Township with those of other municipalities, and the county agency directs responses for emergencies occurring in two or more townships.
